Does anyone make a dist. adapter?

I was wondering, if anyone like Mallory or Accel or someone made a Distributor Cap and adapter, that would allow the use of a bigger Distributor Cap on the 258 AMC engine. I've heard that the reason the engine doesn't like to rev past 3000 is because of a crossfiring problem due to the small Cap size. thanks for any info.

If you have electronic ignition use a cap, cap adaptor, rotor button, and set of wires from an 83 ford truck with a 6 cylinder. Also do a search in the SWB forum on "Team Rush upgrade" , "Duraspark upgrade" and "motorcraft dura spark upgrade".

I have a Jacobs Pro Street ignition system...does this mean I have "electronic ignition". It's an 87 Wrangler.

Re: Does anyone make a dist. adapter?

All Jeeps from 1975 and up have electronic ignition. The other alternative are point type ignitions.
