Buggy springs

After hearing yalls input on coil springs for my cj I went looking for other alternatives. I was checking out a mag and found M.O.R.E products so i looked them up on the net and found a shackle reversal kit that included buggy spring that provide more articulation that I was hopping to get from coils. The entire kit was only three hundred and someodd dolars. I dont drive my jeep on the road that much but when I do its 40miles to work. Any info and opinions are appreciated.

Re: Buggy springs

I am running this setup on my CJ. I think the buggy springs are a waste. They will not drop away from the frame; they are too stiff. I do like the shackle reversal for the road; I think my jeep is considerably more stable on the road now than it was; I don't like the way the tire stuffs to the rear now; I have 33" muds and they almost hit at full compression. I'll soon be going with 35 or 36's and will have to deal with that. I'm hoping that TJ flares and my sawzall will take care of it.

Re: Buggy springs

I have/had one on my CJ5, I could only get the leafs to open a few times, after they work in a little they are better though. In my opinion you can get the same travel w/o them. If you want to buy a kit cheap, I will be selling mine, needs one leaf (avail. from MORE), email me if you are interested.
