MY jeep doesn\'t like new ignition moduls?

I posted this problem a couple of weeks ago but to bring everybody up to speed her it goes. I went back to soder all the joints I had done for the tr upgrade(had used crimps before) and moved my modul up onto the fender. Well when I was done the jeep wouldn't start, no spark, so I went back and checked everything over and all my joints were good. So I figuered my modul decided to die, it is the original one. Got a new one but before I went to put it on I tried the jeep and it did start. I figuered I would put the new one on and keep the old one for a spare but, wouldn't you know it, jeep won't start with the new one. So I figured I had a bad modul but couldn't return it cause I had to tie into the purple wire. Bought anouther new one and it still wont start, WHAT the (*&^&^ is going on here.

Now here is my question, why will it run with the old modul but not with either of my two new ones. It can't be the wires because the old one wouldn't work and I can see one bad modul but I find it highly unlikely that I would get two of them bad right out of the box. Can anybody tell me what is going one here. Thanks
