What\'s up with insurance companys?

My sons' 87 yj was vandilized the other night. Tires and soft top slashed, steel doors stolen etc. There has been a rash of this stuff around here.Insurance being a real pain in the ass.One problem is we only had jeep a couple weeks. Anyone have any problems? Hate to give companys name. Afraid they'll track me down and shoot me cause I was trying to escape.

We have American Family Ins. and they have been good to us. We have has claims for two windshilds and an accident (Durango), a side window from a break in (Dakota), and hail damage (Cherokee). They haven't dropped us yet, so they have to be pretty good!

USAA has been good to us thru the years, I cant help but notice everytime ive been in a fender bender its always with a State Farm insured customer, and state farm never wants to pay for squat.

usaa is awsome but remember you either have to be in the military, or related to someone who has to join

Ive never been in the military, but my father was in teh late 60s/early 70s, and he has used USAA for as long as I can remeber, and they are all Ive ever used since Ive been 18.

not the cheapest, but as far as Im concerned the best.

Re: What\'s up with insurance companys?

I have farmers insurance, and it has been pretty good so far. I have full coverage on both of my running jeeps. They gave me a thousand bucks when my stock rear tube bumper was crushed from some other car.
They are a bit pricey, but I got the check in less then 1 week!!! not bad.
My freind had precision auto insurance or something, and they sent him a check 3 months later, and he didnt even get to keep his jeep, (it was vandelized, and they paid off the remaining 3 grand, then sent him a check for 400 bucks..)

i have been with state farm now for 6 or so years.. and havent had a problem with them.. i did have problems getting my check from usaa.. when one of their customers totalled my jeep... took me about 7 months.. and plenty of phone calls to supervisors..
but being state farm is my rep.. they have treated me nicely..
