Custom High $ insurance??

Ok, so now that I have $18,000 in my rig I fugure I should put full coverage insurance on it. State farm just kinda looked at me funny when I told them I wanted a 1978 CJ7 fully insured for 20,000. My real concern is theft and vandelism. Any one have any expereance with this? jim

Re: Custom High $ insurance??

i'm right there with you.. i have found that you try to insure it as a classic..which allows you certain miles..but..they rarely ask for prrof of miles go give them 1500 or 200miles higher than what the truck has and your good to go. you can insure it for whatever. i told my insurance company straight forward that the jeep itseld is worth 2500book. but $20,000 in mods and labor, i wan't the fkng think insured against everything!!she did it..no more questions.. i use travelers..by the way.. state farm was higher, and geico was outraguous. good luck, it can be done.
