URGENT: Need One Piece Help

So I bought these one piece axles off the net. They are the ones on EBay for like 200. Anyways I get the kit and there is a piece labeled the bearing spacer ring. I assume this peice is supposed to go right up to were the housing is narrower and then the bearing in right after that. The problem is that I tried to put it in and basically it went in about the width of the ring and ended up flush with the flange. Is this peice neccasary if the bearing sits flush with the flange? It almost looks like there used to be one in there but I dont see on in the schematic in my haynes. if there was one it look like it has welded itself to the inside of the tube. am i going to need to take a little off the inside of the tube? should it just go right in there? also does anyone know if the shafts are different length and which one goes where?

any tips you guys have on these things would be great as I would like to get them in on saturday

Re: URGENT: Need One Piece Help

I have Genuine Gear axles in mine. "They" say the bearing is supposed to stick out of the end of the housing a little....forget the exact measurement. If I remember right, it goes seal, spacer, bearing. The shorter axle goes on the driver side if I remember correctly. You can measure it though to be sure. There is not a bearing spacer originally.
