You can get an intake, cam, hedders (which I don't like). I know Edelbrock makes an intake and cam kit. Lots of manufacturers make hedders for the 304.

Re: is there any performance products for an AMC 304?

There are many performance parts for the AMC V8. Cams, Intakes, Headers, Even MSD makes a Distributer for it. You will pay more for parts, but not as much as many people will lead you to believe. 1 thing I havn't found for the 304 is forged pistons, but they are not needed in a low RPM application like this. I am just waiting and hoping for Edelbrock to make some AMC V8 heads, now that would rock. I doubt it will happen though.

Ah yes, I forgot about the MSD. I've really been wanting to get the MSD ignition, one day when I quit fixin' and continue upgrading. I think I have seen forged pistons for the 304. It seems I saw it in a PAW ad.

a good upgrade is some 360 heads too.. easy mod(especially when you are replacing the intake) and it makes a LOT of difference

Re: is there any performance products for an AMC 304?

I took the lazy route and went with fenderwell headers, they look cool and all until I bang them on a rock but they are NOISY. Very hard to seal, I have to use copperseal gaskets. And they only help hp in the high rpms, may even lose some torque down low where i need it. I will probably go with factory manifolds when the headers kick off if it doesen't cost too much. I have the 360 heads and intake on my 304 but it came that way so I don't know what power it gained. I would look for higher comp pistons or raise comp by planing block or heads.
