Now that finals are over, and I have some more time to work on the jeep, I have discovered that the Tach isn't supposto work with the MPI system real well for my manual setup. Does anyone have some experiences with this problem? I'd sure like to be able to use my tach when I get it running, hopefully by this weekend.
thanks,

Would the same work tach work with my YJ. I would need a different size? Some how I remember an old post that talkes about running a wire from the negative side of the coil or something along those lines. I did a search and couldn't find it, maybe it is too old. Maybe someone knows something about the running a wire from the coil idea?
thanks in advance,
Robert

Try calling summit and see if they make a "tach adapter' to cure your problem. They make them for other applications. No, running a wire from your coil won't work. You could try getting a tach from a later model YJ, after 1991, my son is going to do this for his. Hope this helps.
Thanks Bird,
I'll check out their website for info.
