Does any one know what all is needed to hook up the York for use on an ARB and for on board air? Help have a trail run tommorow and really would like to get this done....THANKS!
have you adapted a york to an ARB? if so where do I find a pressure cut off valve for the tank?? Or any tips to do a quick set up for this weekend and then we can do more intricate detailing like the diagram I found on the internet @ http://home.europa.com/~bateman/jeep/78cj5/mods/air/schem.gif ??
Thanks alot for your help
there is a pressure release valve on the backside of the york that keeps popping when the compressor clutch is engaged. Do I need to get rid of it, replace, or what???
yes i have in the past. now I have detriots. You need to buy a pressure switch, a check vavle and some kind of holding tank.
AFA this weekend...well it's hard. how the ARB works is, that it shots 85-105 psi of air into the locker and holds it there while it's engages. when you shut it off, it releases the air.
If you bought a portable air tank at you local parts store you could use that. Then went to a compressor store... like this one http://www.grainger.com/index.htm
You could get a pressure switch to regulate the pressure. don't worry about the check vavle now, you can get that later from the same place..
hope this helps
