Does anybody know of any good places to go off road in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area? If not, what about any known trails in TX? I know it is hard to make any trails in TX because there is almost no public land. I guess I will just have to become a multi-millionaire so I can buy a ranch to wheel and hunt on. TIA. /wwwthreads_images/icons/wink.gif

You need to join one of the groups like Ft. Worth Dallas - Four Wheel Drive (FWD-FWD) or Jeeps of North Texas (JNT). Both have websites with membership info and events calenders. As far as nearby places, FWD-FWD has access to a place near Gainesville once every few months. JNT goes to a place in Denton (next run is soon). There 360 in Arlington (JNT run there next weekend). Decatur 4 wheelers just had a run last weekend near Decatur. Further away there is the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend event in Clayton, Okl (4 hours or so from Ft. Worth); upcoming Palo Duro Canyon event in Amarillo, TX; the TMTC place in Gilmer Tx soon to open; occasional runs in DeLeon, Tx,; and a few others. The events calenders of one of those two websites will give you more info.
If you have any other questions, feel free to e-mail me.
