Need t-case pics

I'm looking for an exploded view of a dana20 and a dana/spicer18 transfer case, I'm more interested in the shifting linkage. I have a D20(maybe not, I'm second guessing myself could be a D/S18) and it seems I only have 4Hi, Nutrual, and 4low was there a t-case like this with a texas blot pattern. how do I id them? answers or pics to any of this would be greatly appeciated!

Thanks ahead of time
Chad

Re: Need t-case pics

If it's a d18 both front and rear drives are off-set to the right. A d20 has the rear drive inline with the trans output shaft. Both have 4hi-n-4lo. Most d18's have 2 shifters. One is hi/lo the other is 2/4wd. The only three tcases with the "Texas" patern, that I know of, are the d18, d20 and the Scout d300. Hope this helps.

Re: Need t-case pics

ok it's a dana20 but I have no 2 wheel hi, and I'm pretty sure it's in the shifting lever but the exploded view in the haynes manual isn't the same as mine!
Great book ay!!

Re: Need t-case pics

Do you have the t-case in or out of the vehicle? If you can see the two shift rails, when you shift the lever, 4wd low has both shift rails in as far as they will go, 4wd high has both rails out as far as they will go, and 2wd high will have the inner rail (closest to the tranny) out all the way and the outer rail will be in the middle (neutral).

Re: Need t-case pics

I got this from the 1976 manual, I also have other manuals in case yours is different somehow (J-truck, Commando, Waggie, or Scout), so if this isn't it, let me know.

Re: Need t-case pics

The case is out, I just can't get it to shift into two wheel hi the inner rod wont go forward and the outter wont stay nutraul, they both always want to go forward to 4 hi.
JEEPN, that's the same as the pic in my manual, if you could find something else that would be great.

there seems to be a key slot on the shift hand, the shifthand fits in the box like thing and the key i think holds it in place i may be missing the key. anyway the pic I drew may help check it out. I'm a artist at heart

Re: Need t-case pics

Is that Dana 20 from a Full-sized Jeep? If so, the shifting is in a U pattern. I can't remember off hand. JEEPN will have a picture of it from his service manuals.

Re: Need t-case pics

Are you looking for just the linkage still? I have a few more manuals I can try.
