92 Wrangler High/Low Beam Switch Replacement

How much trouble is it to replace the high/low beam switch in a 92 Wrangler. Have low beams but no high beams. Any special tools required, if so what?

Thanks..

Re: 92 Wrangler High/Low Beam Switch Replacement

The part is made by GM, and is available cheap at most any parts store. It's mounted on the steering column, left side, with 2 nuts/screws. It needs to be adjusted before you tighten up the nuts. Lightly install the mounting screws and move the switch up the column to take up the slack to the actuating rod, then tighten it up. You will have to drop down the A/C housing if your Jeep is so equipt, to make the job easier. Hope this helps, good luck!
