4x4 Evolution, next best thing to wheeling

For any of you that are not familiar with the video game 4x4 Evolution, you gotta check it out. The graphics are so real its impossible, and unlike other 4by racing games you can go off the course and just start cruising through the mountains or washes or whatever. And you can build your own truck, pick your own tires, however you want it. A demo version is available at http://www.btwracing.com, but its 34 megs, so you better have a high speed connection. The full version is absolutely incredible.

Re: 4x4 Evolution, next best thing to wheeling

Hey Brad

I get advance copies of games and I grabbed that one a couple months early and it IS great ! So much fun!! Screamer 4X4 is another good one too . Since we all love off-roading I recommend Colin McRae Rally II . It is so realistic and the graphics are really good . Brad , lets hook up online soon and have a game of 4X4 Evolution. Interested ? Let me know . See I think it would be cool , to get some people from the board here and all hook up and do some racing .

Jeff

As soon as I get the full copy, for sure. I played the full one for a while at a computer place, I downloaded the demo at work after playing the real thing. I can't wait to get the full version for home.

Here's the path. Go to BTW main page, at the top click on Off-Road racing, it will then give you a mouse over, go to 4x4 Evolution, click on 4x4 Evolution Garage, that takes you to the GArage page. On the right side of the Garage page find 4x4 Evolution, then down below it you will see Demo, click on that, takes you to the download page.

Re: 4x4 Evolution, next best thing to wheeling

Hey, Insane4X4 (spelled 1nsane) is another cool one. The demo is about 33 megs. You can get it from the Codemasters or Invictus sites. But the full version is very very cool. And, there is a patch you can download that enables you to play without the CD in your CD drive. Now Im not suggesting that anyone be party to the pirating of software, but I'll bet that you could download the full version from "BearShare" or a similar file sharing program. For reviewing purposes only, of course. hehe.

I like Screamer4X4 way more than Evolution. Just my opinion of course. Check that one out too.
