Los Coyotes Indian Reservation

Went to LC this weekend and it looks as though they have decided to keep the
place open indefinitely. They did however raise the price from $10 to $15 per
vehicle (looks like money talks). Had a great trip came across some great little trails
and even got to use my winch again (someone broke a hub) and we even got
to see a battery explode while he tried to start his rig (never seen that happen before).
Did a search for this topic so as not to bother you guys with old news, but didn't see
anything. If any of you are looking for a great place to camp and/or just wheel for the
day, (and you're in the San Diego area) you might want to look them up.

Hey Gus,

That is too cool. I love that place. It's close.

Let me know next time you're headed there and maybe I'll tag along. Last year I wanted to go over there during the day while our troop was at scout camp, but nobody to go with. When are you guys going to Mataquay (if that is where you are going). We will be there the week of Aug 5.

How are things going? I don't see you on here much anymore.

Re: Los Coyotes Indian Reservation

Hi Ray!
It has been a while, hasn't it?
I've recently been promoted to "Manger" and hated it at first,
but now things are starting to smooth out and I can actually find my
way back to this forum from time to time.
We ARE going to Mataguay AND the week of the 5th as well. I'm looking
forward to seeing you and your Scrambler again.
Perhaps we can find a time to take off to Los Coyotes from there?
I plan to be there the first two or three days, then I gotta spend a day or
two with my daughter at her Girls Camp (yup, it's the same week), then
my son (who is now a Varsity Scout) will be going on his summer trip
to Catalina Island the following week to do some scuba diving. I'm hoping
to be able to go there with him as well. I'll give you a call in a coupla
days and set up a time we can do lunch.
Talk to you soon.

Semi-Tuf-Jeep, looks like we do the same thing for a living. I design PCBs
for CATV equipment. I was out at LCIR for Memorial Day. Had a blast.
