Towing????

Okay, I have a question for all of you. My jeep has the 4.0 engine, AX15 tranny, 4.56 gears, and 35" tires. I own a ski boat that is 21' long and weighs apx. 3700 lbs. with trailer. My question is: Can I tow my boat down the boat ramp? Can I pull my boat up the boat ramp? I will only be useing my jeep to put the boat in and out. Thanks

Re: Towing????

Use 4-wheel-low. If you typically yank-strap 3500+ pound Jeeps on the trail, the slow hauling of a boat up a boat ramp shouldn't be a problem, I wouldn't think.

You already know you don't want to tow it with a short wheelbase vehicle, but up and down the boatramp, and around the marina yard a little, I couldn't see a problem with it.

Other opinions?

Of course, legally, I say don't do it. I hate lawyers.
