power brake

I would like to add power brakes to my 85 cj. I have purchased the necessary master cylinder and power booster, but am in need of the "bellcrank" and likage that mounts between the booster and the firewall. Any ideas, or anyone have one for sale??

Re: power brake

I am not sure which booster you have. But you can use almost any late 80's GM booster. Then get a firewall bracket for an '87 Wrangler. You may have to modify the actuator rod. Do a search on "power brakes" or "booster".

Re: power brake

If you try to buy a CJ bell crank, it will cost you an arm and a leg. I have seen just the bracket go for 60 bucks on e-bay. I paid 100 bucks for mine, but it was a complete setup (mastercylinder and all). To me, its still alot of money, but the brakes are worth it.
TOM85CJ-7 did a whole series post his conversion, plus there are alot of others that have posted about there swaps. Most of them are pretty detailed.
Good luck.
