Attn TR: Ignition Question

I've been following your ignition upgrade posts and was wondering how you rate the stock ignition for the '98 TJ 4.0. Is the upgrade you posted on Feb 11, for the I6 258 suitable? I'm not even sure if I have a motorcraft distributor. sorry if some of my questions are innane, but i'm still kinda uneducated when it comes to some parts of my jeep

Pretty good all in all.
It needs a MSD 6 Series module as soon as you can afford one, but that's beside the point.

In a word, NO!
You don't have the same distributor or ignition module. Your ignition is computer controlled, and linked directly to your fuel injection.
The MSD Capacitive Discharge will help you, but you can't monkey around with it much unless you really know what you are doing and have testing equipment...

*I'm not even sure if I have a motorcraft distributor.*

Nope, Chrysler.
It will still benefit from the MSD upgrade...
(I think I heard that somewhere just recently...)

I'm still under educated when it comes to women...
(anyone else feel that way?)

Never hurts to ask a question, but some of the answers can be pretty painful!

Later, Aaron.
