CJ or YJ?

Hey everybody, I'm new to the list as of today and wanted to put out a question to ya on a burning question I have. I own a 93 YJ 2.5L that I've done a little work (2" body lift, 1 1/2" shackles, 32" BFG) on but am disgusted with the stock drivetrain and especially the 2.5L. I have this burning desire to sell and buy a late '80s CJ with the 258 and especially want the Dana 300 tcase. But I have bad experiences with carbs on my buddies CJ and YJ. I have an EB 9" waiting in the shed. I don't know about dumping a lot of cash into the YJ drivetrain just to get locking hubs and a slip yoke eliminator. From what I've learned wrenching our Jeeps, maintenance and any restoration work on a CJ doesn't scare me, except for tuning a carb which I suppose I can learn about that too. Any suggestions/comments?
