coil spacers: lift or just support?

hey i came across some coil spacers the other day and i wasnt quite sure about something. it says it helps sagging springs, but i also thought they might work as a make-shift lift. maybe an inch or a tad more. my suspension's brand new so its not sagging at all. so with no sagging, would it lift it any? if it does, is it a significant amount?

It's not a CAR, it's not a TRUCK...its a JEEP-get it right.

Re: coil spacers: lift or just support?

i put the spcers on my GC. they are basically the equiv. of a small lift minus some stability support that may need to be taken into account depending on what you install them on. they will raise your vehicle.

My 2" suspension lift is spacers and longer shocks. It does lift it.

A man's got to believe in something, I believe I'll have another

Re: coil spacers: lift or just support?

i put some of those on mt rig and if they are the same type you will need to build a T shaped axel stop to put them over, what hapens is when your tire drops the top of the spring will come off your axel stops and lean forward, then when you get back to ride ht. your spring off the stop and it is time to jack it up and put it back. it is my $.02 that they are not too good for lift, but if you are loading it up for a long week end they are ok, they are easy to install and remove.
