HELP!!!Removing inner knuckles sans machine shop

I am trying to remove the inner knuckles on a d44. I ground the welds out, and need to get the knuckle off in order to cut the tube down. Not having much luck! The only way I can think to remove the knuckles is to make the cut at the appropriate spot, and press the tube out. Any help would be greatly appreciated....

Re: HELP!!!Removing inner knuckles sans machine shop

If you're cutting the tube anyway, you can cut it off and use a press or torch to get the remaining tube out of the sub-knuckle. If you're just removing the sub-knuckle it's a bit*h...I ended up slicing the backside with a cut-off wheel and rewelding it, when I changed my caster.
