Best Rocker Panel Protection

I am planning to purchase or make a set of rocker protectors for my TJ. I like the look of the Sun's, but they do not extend all the way to the wheel wells behind the flares. I am looking for advice and experience with the different brands available. Another option is to buy some 1/4" angle iron and fabricate a set. Thanks for all of the help. Rick

Search the archives as there was an ongoing thread about this for quite some time. Personally I would just make them if you have the ability.

Re: Best Rocker Panel Protection

I just finished the TJ flares on my YJ, and I am getting some 4 x 4 x 1/4" angle iron to fabricate my rocker protectors. 4 foot length on each side.

I know, it's thicker than really necessary, but the steel is free!

Free works for me.
