Full Width Axle Swap

Hey rather than doing gears, lockers and all that jazz on my axles (still AMC 20 and Dana 30) I am going to at least upgrade to a 44 up front. Well I was thinking about just going full width, I was thinking a 44 front and 9 inch rear, maybe from an 70's F-150. I can't remember the side of the drop, but I have a Dana 300. Just wondering what people were running that were full width. I am SOA with 2.5 springs so it is pretty tall and normal width seems a little narrow. Thanks in advance.

Re: Full Width Axle Swap

All the Chevys I've seen drop on the passenger side, so do some Dodges, both will have 44's in the front on some.

Re: Full Width Axle Swap

The D44 front on the Chevys ended in 1977, with some in '77 having the front 10 bolt as well.

Don't forget about the Jeep D44 fronts (trucks and waggies) and International Scouts.
