New Flares

I finally got the lawn edging put on to cover the tires. I had planned on putting them on under the origanal flares but they wouldn't fit the way I planned without cutting the stock flares. I took them off and just used the edging with the round side out and the lip on the other side toward the wheel opening. I drilled this lip and installed them with the hardware from the other flares. Here's a picture of what I used looks like.

Re: New Flares

If you get a chance, how 'bout a picutre of them on the Jeep? This looks like a nice inexpensive mod.

Re: New Flares

I don't have a digital camera, so it will have to wait until I can get a roll of film developed. I will post pictures eventually when I get some. The first one I put on doesn't look bad, but by the time I got to the third one, I figured out how to get it to look the best. The first one isn't exactly curved with the wheel opening. It has a couple of almost straight spots between the screws but then I'm kind of a perfectionist. It would used to drive my brother nuts because I'd keep adjusting things and he would keep telling me it's good enough.

Total cost: about $7 and 3 hours work.
