Re: 8.8 Swap Where to get factory perches???

Why do you need them for the brakes? If you have access to a welder you can weld those brake hose tabs to any aftermarket perch. Even if no welded there are other ways to attach it. From what I've seen Ford will make you pay an arm and a leg for those perches. Are you staying SUA or going SOA? I've got the MORE kit and it's great quality. Or I've got the factory perches that I took off if you want them. One is slightly bent but .. hmmmm.. I guess I could straighten it with my new home made press. They might even be able to weld some similar tabs on for you and still come out cheaper than if you get the Ford ones.

Re: 8.8 Swap Where to get factory perches???

Summit sells generic perches that should fit with no probs. $20 for 2 perches that fit 3" tubes. PN: CEE-2029.

3... 3 1/4... Whatever it takes.

So you're talking about 1/8" (<3%) difference in radius over about 60 degrees??? Your weld bead will be thicker than that. Stick 'em on!

You could grind the ends a little to make it fit perfect. I used 3" perches on two 2.75" dana 44's without any problems.
