Put it rich or put it lean ??

Summer is here, should I set the carb to lean or rich with warm weather?? I always though, lean with warm, and rich with cold..since cold air is denser than warm air... Is there some theory I'm missing to understand this ??

I've always thought you always want it a little bit on the rich side regardless of the temperature... I tend to just adjust my carbed vehicle seasonally so it's always just a little rich.

Re: Put it rich or put it lean ??

1. Winter = Cooler, denser air, the carb needs to be a little richer.
2. Summer = Hotter, less dense air, the carb need to be a little leaner.

Compromise... half way between each setting!

see, I wasn't as nuts as I thought but, it's also hard to start when the engine is warm, I have to give it throttle and hope it starts...
