Angle Iron rocker skids 101

Ok so Tuesday I get super cheep 3x3x 1/4" angle iron and access to a drill press and chop saw. How should I attach them? Allen head bolt? Do they need to be graded? or will zinc work just fine? Should I use washers on either side? Do I need to go through to rocker and floor? Anything else to know? Anybody got pics of theirs?

I've posted pics of mine several times, just do a search, including quite a long thread a week or so ago. I used alloy button head allens, the button heads won't catch on stuff. I used 11 each side, drilled thru the panel. Have held up VERY well.

I used washers on the inside only on my wrangler. This will help distribute the load accross a larger area of sheet metal making it a little less prone to bending up the body. I used simple bolts that held up fine.
