Oil pressure sensor failure (again)

I have a 94 2.5L YJ and the oil pressure sensor just failed for the 4th time. Specifically, the plastic plug in the top of the unit has again come loose, allowing the oil to escape and rendering the oil pressure gauge nonfunctional. I've replaced the sensor after each failure, always knowing that it's just a matter of time before it pops its lid again. This is truly an idiotic and incompetent design and the hack masquerading as an engineer who designed it deserves to have something really horrible happen to him/her. But I digress... Does anyone know of an improved-design sensor that isn't so maddeningly failure-prone?

Re: Oil pressure sensor failure (again)

Can you screw a brass plug in its place or fill the hole with epoxy? Or maybe the oil pressure in your rig is way too high and it is blowing it out.
