Restricted Access to Texas Rivers?

I was reading an article on http:// www.rockcrawler.com about Senate bill SB 1335 and how it is aimed at restricting vehicle access to Texas rivers. Please take a look at this bill at
http://tlo2.tlc.state.tx.us/tlo/billnbr.htm. If you are a Texas resident, contact your Texas State representative to advise against restricted access to Texas rivers. I haven't had time to read through the bill yet to see exactly what it says (plusd I'm not sure I would understand it all anyway ), but wanted to get this out there so it could be acted on, we don't have enough places to wheel in Texas as it is and we don't need the rivers taken away.

Thanks,

Re: Restricted Access to Texas Rivers?

It depends on whats in the river,or what kind of wildlife it supports.Just because we have four wheel drives, does not mean we can just go where we want.I'm no tree hugging enviromentalist, but I think we should be more concerned about our natural resources. My son may not like jeeps,he may choose to hunt or fish in his spare time.No where to wheel in Texas?

There is a petition concerning this issue. To sign the petition go to the Land Use Section in this mag (link in my signature), the link is in the action alerts, second one from the top. Tsk, tsk, don't you know you don't need to go to the other mags, you can get everything you need to know about off-highway motor sports right here!

Sorry Brad, didn't mean to cheat on ya, I was just browsing, it didn't mean anything to me I swear, it was only a one time thing and its over...... And cjtom, I agree with you about being concerned about our natural resources, I just want them to go about things the proper way, and as for the "no wheeling in Texas", we do have places to wheel, just not much in my area , and not as much public land as in other areas of the country.
