6 lug to 5 lug on d44?

i have a d44 front out of a 75 chevy. it is 1/2 ton and has 6 lugs. i want to make it 5 on 5 , which i know is possible, but the local 4x4 shops will not tell me their secrets they want about $350 for the conversion. i think i can do it for less, but i need to know what parts are needed. from what i have gathered i need from the spindle out. any help or ideas would be much app.

You could send the hubs and rotors to someplace like moser engineering. They plugged and redrilled my rear shafts a few weeks ago. They charge $50 for a pair of hubs and $60 for a pair of drum brakes. I would think that the disk brakes would be the same. You might call them and ask.
