Best gasket for carb base?

All you Weber owners out there: what kind of gasket sealer did you use in between all those adapters under the base of the Carb? Mine's sucking in air somewhere down there which gives me symptoms of an intake manifold leak.

Gonna re-attach the carb with some better sealer on the gaskets; what do you recommend? Thanks!

Re: Best gasket for carb base?

Carb base gaskets are generally not reuseable. You are supposed to use a gasket cement that is resistant to gasoline. Not the red or blue RTV! Just go get a new one at your auto parts store and ask the parts guy what sealant to use.

Re: Best gasket for carb base?

Sorry, should have been more clear. What do I use on the NEW gaskets that will seal really well, and will sufficiently resist gasoline?
