Re: cj3b page

I just added that page to my favorites this morning. I have been thinking about a six wheeler myself. Does anyone know of any light duty axles that ever had the option for a rear output (Dana 70 or smaller)? I am afraid that I am just going to have to fab something.
Saw a Bronco in a magazine one time with a 205 t-case, and the guy had two output shafts on the rear. One in the normal position, and another behind the front output. It looked pretty cool, but his driveshaft setup was complicated.
Howcome it always seems like the foreign guys have the coolest rigs?

Re: cj3b page

Dig around a little... there's a guy in Oregon that made a CJ with dual rear axles. Then he sold it... Almost every year since 1995 it's shown up at Moab for the EJS and almost ever year it gets it's picture in one or more of the 4X4 mags. I talked to one of the owners in 94 and he last lost contact with it about that time... Almost every year it gets a new coat of paint and a few upgrades... but you can't miss it. It's one fine Jeep, and a personal favorite of mine. If I can find 'em I'll scan and post a picture of it.

Re: cj3b page

Is the back axle driven, or is it just a tag axle? I wonder what they did to get a shaft to the rear, if that is the case. I will have to investigate this further. If anyone knows I would be real interested in the info. Thanks for the photo Leve.

Re: cj3b page

Weirdest thing i saw around my town was a wrangler with a full-size dually rear end. It was kicked up in the rear like a hot rod with dual tires sticking way out. I was looking out a restaurant window at the time when i saw it. i almost choked up my food. I was besides myself thinking about why the did that. I have not seen it since.
