Drop Pitman Arm Question. ATTN YJ OWNERS

ok
i just pulled off my stock pitman arm to install my dropped one and they dont look that much different. i ordered the one for a Skyjacker 4" lift but this pitman arm looks like it is only 1-2" lower than the stock one.

Is this right? is there some weird geomeotry thing that i dont know about?

here are some pics

This is what the steering geomotory looks like AFTER the dropped pitman arm

Re: Drop Pitman Arm Question. ATTN YJ OWNERS

yep, there wasn't much difference between my stock p-arm and the dropped one. I ran my 4" lift with my stock arm for a year or so before someone gave me a CJ arm that I rigged to my YJ.

If you drop it a couple more times it'll open up a little.

Compare the angle of the drag link to the angle of the track bar (if you still have it). If they are parallel, that's what matters.
