anyone know if the motor mounts are the same for a 258 and 304/360? I need power and just trying to plan ahead.

you only need to change one mount on the passenger side when putting a 304/360 in place of a 258.

If you are putting the 360 in a CJ then you will need the CJ V8 block mounts and the pasenger side frame mount.
You will also need to relocate your fuel line from the passenger side to the driver side but this can be done with a section of 3/8" rubber fuel line.
Another thing to keep in mind is the heat shield that is on your tub, just at the opening of the tranny tunnel on the drivers side, if you remove it then it will give you a little more access since the factory heat shield for the V8 is on the passenger side.
what Tranny are you going to run???

...can you use a Grand Wagoneer passenger side motor mount?!...im just about ready for my friends swap, still need a 360 flywheel though : (

Ive heard you CAN use the Gwag mount with some modifications, I think JeepGod talked about or did this, maybe you slot teh bolt holes.

Ive got both mounts outsidem piled up next to a CJ frame, but its too cold to go and play

this would go into my cj7 and I'd like to keep the 999 auto if possible. just looking around for a deal on a motor now.
