Re: Lock Right Install ?????

When I had a '93 wrangler, I was able to put the back in without removing the carrier. It was pretty simple.

The front was a little more work. I had to remove the carrier and ring gear. The cross shaft also was secured by a roll pin (as opposed to a the rear's retaining bolt). I had to use a cut off screw driver as a blunt punch to remove it.

The back took about an hour. The front was about 3 hours.

Re: Lock Right Install ?????

I just put one in a friends 91 yj with 4.11's the rear carrier can stay in but the bulk of our time was spent trying to back off the self adjusting rear brakes so we could pull the axles out. I find lockright's make some filings so I glue a magnet to the bottom of the cover b4 re-assembly.
