motor & tranny swap

I have the chance to trade my old CJ-5 for a older Jeep pickup with a 360 and a TH400 tranny. How hard would they be to put in my '80 CJ-7? Does anybody make a engine mount kit to convert from the 258 to the 360? Will my D300 bolt right up to the TH400? How about drive shafts? Any help would be appreciated.

My girlfriend said if I spent one more dime on my Jeep she would leave. Man I'm going to miss her.

I'm not exactly shure right now, but I think it was a late 60's early 70's

The mid to late 70's they used the quadra trac. With a BW full time 4wheel. Adapters would be required to put d300 on it. Pretty much the same drive as the 76 to 79 CJ7 with auto.

Re: motor & tranny swap

My '80 has a tf999 auto in it. Would the drive shafts still be the same as those in the 70's. I am pretty shure that this truck is pre quadratrac. Also, how about mounting it itto my Jeep?
