Re: tractor paint

I wondering how long it last because my cj might get a driveway bath in it.

Re: tractor paint

I painted my CJ7 with John Deere yellow bought from the dealer for 32 bucks. I used a little hardener with it and it's been a year and still looks like new. I would use it again in a minute. I have had poor luck with some other
tractor paint bought from Central Tractor.

Re: tractor paint

I also used it on my cj5. It seems to hold up pretty good.

Re: tractor paint

Impliment paint is good stuff to use on a trail rig, it is tough, fade resistant, and resists scratches better than most paints.
Think about it, how many tractors or farm equiptment have you seen that is 20-30 years old and the paint is still pretty good on it after being left in the elements and mistreated for years.
I painted a 87 4x4 suburban with Ford White (tractor paint) and it looked great!! Kept the rig for 5 years and when it sold it looked just as good as the day I painted it.
The whole thing cost $40 paint compaired to using normal vehicle paint that would have cost $200 for the paint alone.
