Let's take Elusive's $300 brackets, and use that as a reference point. [img]/wwwthreads_images/icons/wink.gif[/img]
Let's say you're looking at the difference of 20 or 22 miles per gallon.(just for ease of math - we all drive Jeeps, after all [img]/wwwthreads_images/icons/laugh.gif[/img])
So, if you get 20, as opposed to 22, for every 220 miles, you lose 1 gallon of gas, or about $1.50 at todays prices. So, to save $300, you would need to drive "200 units" of 220 miles, or 44,000 miles. [img]/wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif[/img] That's an awful lot of driving.
You drive a Jeep. It will not get good gas mileage. Even less so after you put on a winch, and a rear tire carrier, and a whole lot o' other cool stuff. [img]/wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif[/img] I would make your decision on other factors.
