EGR valve

If I am putting a header on my 1984 jeep, what do I do with the EGR valve going to the intake manifold...I was thinking of some type of plate to cover it? What is the common solution for this?

Re: EGR valve

You could pull and plug the hole, or do nothing. The EGR should be closed until enabled at about 41 - 43 MPH. Just deactivate the vaccuum or electical enabling.
