Which Jeep do I want for axles

I can't find any Scout Dana 44's but I found a junk yard that has a lot of Wagoneers, Grand Wagoneers, some full size J trucks, Cherokees, and Cherokee Chiefs. Which of these has Dana 44s front and rear, or Dana 44 front and 60 rear in the 58-62 inch width. Since these are going into a CJ7 I presume that I can't use quadratrac axles. Correct? Any help would appreciated. Thanks.

Try this for a link:
http://www.off-road.com/jeep/tech/axle/. It has some good info on axles and what years with what vehicles. No Scouts? Up here you can get a complete RUNNING (but rusted out) Scout II for $250, I see them all the time. One guy in the classified was selling a Scout II plow for $350 and if you bought it he'd GIVE you the Scout II it was bolted to. Having 3 of them around, I didn't need any more...

Re: Which Jeep do I want for axles

I checked out the offroad.com jeep tech but they don't say what the width is for most of the axles. The only Scout that I can find had a Dana 30 (?) front axle. Anymore info about axle width would help. Thanks.

Re: Which Jeep do I want for axles

I don't remember if this site has axle widths or not but you might try [ulr]www.jeeptech.com[/url]. This site has a lot of information that used to reside on offroad.com. While you are there, check Terry's CJ2A project. He put a narrow track Cherokee (full size) front Dana 44 in his CJ and it might say something there about the dimensions.
