Axle bearing leaks

Help... Both ends of my axle is leaking fluid (Dana 35c). I'm assuming it the outer bearings. Are these difficult to replace? Any special tools required?

By the way, this problem seem to only exist when it is cold outside. Any reason why???

All help and suggestions are appreciated

Re: Axle bearing leaks

leaking would tell me seals are shot, but I have never even looked at a 35C. Your best bet would be to pull off the tire and yank an axle and take a look. Bad bearings are pretty easy to spot. THe bearings on my twenty were so bad that I ended up pulling chunks out of the axle tubes when I put the floater in there. HTH
