Yet another TR Upgrade question

Two questions actually.

What spark plug wires do you guys recommend?

Second: The resister in the wiring diagram...is it an added thing or is it already in my Jeeps wiring? (cj5/304) If its something to add, then what is it?

Thanks,
Fritz

Re: Yet another TR Upgrade question

Without an MSD or such like, I couldn't see any reason not use a normal premium Ford plug wire. I used Carquest wires.

As to the resister, if your 79 had the Ford ignition module and all the wiring is still factory, it should be there...

Hope this helps...

Re: Yet another TR Upgrade question

I did the TR upgrade and used ford 300 I6 wires. They worked okay. But, next time I'll try the "make um yourself/custom wires". 8mm of course.

I'm on here so much, I have carpal tunnel reader syndrone.

Re: Yet another TR Upgrade question

Any premium wire should do just fine.
