Pics of 38\" Ground Hawgs by 33\" Mud Rovers

I picked up two 38x15x15" Ground Hawgs for $100. They have only been on the road for 2-weeks and the guy does not like the looks of them. Dunno why he only had two of them on his truck though

Re: Pics of 38\" Ground Hawgs by 33\" Mud Rovers

I'm not sure just yet. I'll probably try to trade them for some Super Swampers in equal condition...or take them to some local mud-bogs and try to re-sell them there. The 33s are being traded for a Ford FF D-60 rear axle. If I see some local trucks doing especially well with them I'll just buy another two and use them when I lift the Wrangler high enough (should be in another year or so.)
Right on the sidewall it says that it is rated for a 15x10" rim, which seems pretty narrow for a 15" wide tire. I remember reading somewhere that these tires do very well in sand since their construction allows them to be aired down more than usual

The Dunlops measured a true 32", at 50 psi (I last ran them on a F-250 flatbed loaded with gear.) The Ground Hawgs measured 35.5" un-mounted. If you look at the pics in the first post you can see that the center of the tire is caved in a bit, so I don't know how much bigger they will get when mounted and aired up.

Yeah, I just priced them over at the National Tire and Wheel website. They sell new for $206 each! I rolled them next to my Jeep while its on the hydraulic lift at the shop and they sure do make the 31s currently on there look tiny. hopefully I can find out what happened to the other two...
