how much does a snorkel restrict ari flow

I am going to move the air intake from under the headlight on my 92 wrangler, and was thinking about a snorkel. How much will this restrict the air flow and affect jeeps performance?

TIA

Re: how much does a snorkel restrict ari flow

If you use at least the same size piping (ID) and an K.N. air filter it should be less restricted than stock

Re: how much does a snorkel restrict ari flow

Just figure that a straight piece of 3" PVC pipe will flow 1000cfm. 2" will flow about 666cfm, add a couple bends to it and your down to 500-450. A snorkel can be built to flow as much air as you need, just depends on how you design it!
