convert qt to 4sp/dana300

what kind of job would it be to convert cj7 from quadratrac to 4 speed
with dana 300? i know i would need the obvious parts what else? are the axles and everything else compatible?

[img]/wwwthreads_images/icons/tongue.gif[/img] The rear axle in QT Jeeps has the "piggy" way over to the RH side, and that will not work with the D-300 case.[img]/wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif[/img]

I never believe any statistics unless my moonguys [img]/wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif[/img][img]/wwwthreads_images/icons/wink.gif[/img] made 'em up themselves.

Convert it to a T-18 (or T-19) and a Dana 18 offset transfer case. That's what I did and I've put that setup through the ringer and no problems! You can get the Warn OD too if you want. The auto to stick conversion is a pain - big project. Find a stick 76-79 in the Junkyard and get all the pedals and clutch linkages from that. Also get the T-150 bellhousing, and remember that the flywheeels are balanced to the specific engine size. When you're done - you'll have a completely different vehicle. Good Luck! - Chuck
