Frame Width Differences

What is the difference in the widths of the cj5 pre 76 and after? also what is the frame width on 7's etc.

Everyday travel is off-roading in this town....

The pre-76's are the same width front to rear. Somewhere around 28" I think. The 76 and up get wider right around the frontmost tub mounts. They are around 36" wide (I think) at the widest point.

Just curious, I went scrounging around in our "great" junk yard and found a D44 (frnt) and a D70 (rear) but they are about 58" wide!!

Everyday travel is off-roading in this town....

sound like pretty sweet axles.. i have 59" axles in my jeep.. i think that width is just about right..
