Need Help on the Jeep so I can get home tomorrow!!

OK, I found out why my Jeep has been smoking and really underpowered lately. It turns out that the tube that the dipstick goes into has become loose on the engine block. This is allowing oil and pressure to escape. Does anyone have any ideas?? I need to drive about an hour and a half home tomorrow!! Help!!

Our dipstick broke off near the block the day before a trailride we were supposed to lead - my husband found an appropriately sized bolt and siliconed (I think) it in the hole - held up fine. He later ordered a new (much shorter) dipstick tube & stick from Jeep & installed it, BUT, FYI, replacing it required hoisting the engine & dropping the pan. This was on an '85 CJ7. Not sure if that'll solve your problem.

Clean that area with brake cleaner, and silicone around the tube.... Did you clean the plugs?, what did they look like ? is the air filter clean ? Is it black or blue smoke (black is gas. blue is oil). Is it knocking ? does it burn/leak oil ? ...are all the hoses hooked somewhere ?
If you look at those things, you will know alot more.
