I have a 1978 CJ-7 with perfect Dana 30 and AMC 20 with 4.10 gears and 11" brakes. What do I need to change/buy to do a complete conversion to wide track Dana 30 and AMC 20 using as many of the existing parts that I have? How much should I pay? Is it worth it? What is the length difference anyway?

Re: CJ Axles

I wouldn't just change them over to wide track, while your at it, why not go with d44's front and rear. If your set on the just swapping to widetrac, i'm sure you could use your gears and brakes. Thats about it.

Re: CJ Axles

I'm with ricochet on this one. Put the 44s in and be done with it. I love the wider stance my jeep has with the Scout 44s. Wider is better!

A fool and his money are soon partying.
