Which springs to buy?

I want to replace my springs on my 84 CJ7 (currently 4" lift springs). I want to avoid stiff springs, and I don't want to lift the vechile no more than possible (I plan to get a 4wd hardware glass tub which they said has a build in 2" lift). I want some leaf springs that have a softer ride quality. Am I stuck just looking for a set of factory CJ or YJ springs (I know the YJ springs will require alittle work to fit on the front of a CJ7). This is going to be a daily driver, and I want to improve the ride quality as much as I can, but still allow alittle ofroading. Thanks

Re: Which springs to buy?

Stock springs with an SOA if you want some lift, or maybe Rancho 2.5" springs?

Re: Which springs to buy?

National Spring makes a great spring. They will have you weigh each end of the jeep, and then custom build the leaf packs. If you go back and do a search on posts for the last 5 months you will gets LOTS of input on springs. Bottom line, buy a cheap lift and you get a stiff ride.
