Boot for twin shifter

I am using 2 stock shifters to make a twin shifter set up on my Dana 300 and need a twin boot. What are you guys using? Will the Currie twin boot work? Anyone else make one (cheaper!)?

Re: Boot for twin shifter

I don`t know, but I have beem thinking about the same thing. Sorry. I think there were some vehicles with 2 levers that came from the factory. Maybe someone would make a boot for that?

Re: Boot for twin shifter

Go to your local home improvement store and check out the roofing section. The stores around here carry rubber boots in various thicknesses designed to fit around the base of things that come through house rooms in various sizes, from chimneys down to very small cables (TV, phone, etc.) They probably have something that'd work quite well if you bought two and used them side by side.

Trying to come up with a witty line to end all of my posts...

Re: Boot for twin shifter

Also try a twin boot setup from the early Scout I's. They had twinsticks as well. I'm probably going to have to make my own set as my shifters are a little larger than normal and have quite a throw.

Re: Boot for twin shifter

The Currie boot works great. It's a bit tight getting the levers thru it as Currie uses smaller dia levers than the stock ones, but I'm using stock levers and the currie boot and it's fine. The early Scout boot is really small. It looked too small to work for me. YMMV
