I finished the wiring of my jeep. well almost

I have just finished wiring my jeep, or at least the big stuff. i moved the fuse block inside the cab. i cleaned up everything and ran all the ground to one good ground point. All the lights work, my electric fans. I think next time i will get the harness . i still have to wire my KC and i have to get my electric windshield wipers before the rainy season. I thank everyone for their help on the board. I hope to return the favor and give any help that i can.

i'm in the middle of the harness on mine but I can't find a schematic for the headlight dimmer switch. So far painless can't find one either. How'd you deal with this part?

Re: I finished the wiring of my jeep. well almost

I just ask my friends in the jeep club. I at first wired my headlights wrong. I wired the high beam light as a ground, luckily nothing happened. I got a dimmer switch for a later 70's CJ and wired one wire from the lightswitch in the dash, to the dimmer. Th dimmer switch has three tabs. one is an input, the others are low beam and high beam. i then ran a wire from the out put tabs to a junction block. Then i wired the high beam and low beam to a post on the block and wored the other side with the corresponding low/high beam. The headlights actually ground on the assembly. I thought that one of the two wires from the headlights was a ground. Now they work fine. I also mounted my dimmer switch onto the bottom of my dash. This way you can hit it to change the beams. Mine was on the floor boards and in florida with all the water this is a bad thing. Now it is high and dry.
Hope this helps you
